From the meeting of the breath of Tommaso Benciolini’s flute and the strings of Lorenzo Bernardi’s guitar – two young and accomplished talents of Italy’s classical music scene – comes a performance rich in emotions and atmospheres, testifying to the visceral connection of younger generations to their cultural roots. Tommaso Benciolini is an acclaimed Italian flutist recognized for his dynamic performances and extensive international career. Winner of the 2017 New York Respighi Prize, he made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2018 and has since performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Musikverein in Vienna and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. As a soloist, he has collaborated with leading orchestras and premiered contemporary works, such as Andrea Battistoni’s The Garden of Delights. His debut album, a Vivaldi monograph, was released by SONY Classical to critical acclaim. A dedicated educator, he teaches at the “F.A. Bonporti” Conservatory in Trento.
Lorenzo Bernardi is an internationally renowned classical guitarist known for his expressive performances and technical mastery. A graduate of the “F. A. Bonporti” Conservatory in Trento, he refined his artistry with Emanuele Buono and Francisco Bernier. He has performed across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia, captivating audiences in prestigious venues such as the Real Alcázar of Seville and the Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata. His discography includes Agustín Barrios Mangoré – Al Estilo Antiguo and Due Italiani a Vienna, recorded with violinist Saverio Gabrielli. An esteemed educator and competition juror, Lorenzo is an endorser of Savarez Guitar Strings and Altamira Guitars.
