On the occasion of the centenary of Leonardo Sciascia‘s birth, the Italian Cultural Institute has organised a “Sciascian Lecture” in collaboration with the Associazione Amici di Leonardo Sciascia, Todomodo Magazine, Olshki Publishing House and Al Mutawassit Publishing House.

A round table dedicated to the well-known Italian writer and thinker, whose figure underscores the deep bonds linking Italy to the Arab world, which sees him among the most translated Italian authors in this language. The event, entitled Leonardo Sciascia (1921-1989) and the Arab World, will be introduced and moderated by Ida Zilio-Grandi, director of the Italian Cultural Institute, and will see the participation of Francesca Maria Corrao, Ezzeddine Anaya, Wael Farouq, Khaled Al Nassiry and Erfan Rachid.
