Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) is delighted to invite our public to a seminar highlighting the multidisciplinary roles and aspects of water and its continuity from the past, to the present and into the future. The guest speakers will discuss the historical development of the roles played by water, while at the same time presenting the artistic embodiment of water in the Arab and Islamic arts and antiquities, represented in the four themes of the exhibition: The Blessings of Water and Islam, Water and Daily Life, Traditional Hammam, and Gardens.
The seminar is part of the public programme accompanying the exhibition “Drop by Drop Life Falls from the Sky. Water, Islam and Art” that will take place between 10th June to 11th December 2021 at the Sharjah Museums of Islamic Civilization in collaboration with Fondazione Torino Musei and our Institute.
