2024 Translation Awards and Grants
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation offers grants and prizes for the promotion of Italian books through the translation of fiction and non-fiction works,
as well as for the production, dubbing and subtitling of films, short films and TV-series, intended for mass media circulation, are intended to promote Italian language and culture abroad.
GRANTS can be submitted for:
a) Translation and publication of Italian fiction and non-fiction works, including those available in digital format (e-books), to be published not before 1st August 2024;
b) Production, dubbing or subtitling of films, short films and TV-series intended for mass media circulation, to be released not before 1st August 2024
PRIZES can be submitted for:
a) Italian fiction and non-fiction books, also in digital version (e-book), already translated and published not before 1st January 2023;
b) production, dubbing, subtitling of films, short films and TV-series intended for mass media circulation, already released not before 1st January 2023.
Applications must be submitted no later than April 24th 2024 to the Italian Cultural Institute Abu Dhabi: abudhabiiic.segre@esteri.it

MINISTRY OF CULTURE: NATIONAL TRANSLATION AWARDS 2024
Every year, the Italian Ministry of Culture, through the General Directorate of Libraries and Copyright, awards the National Translation Awards to translators and publishers, both Italian and foreign, who have contributed to the dissemination of Italian culture abroad and foreign culture in our country.
The awards represent recognition of the cultural and professional value of activities carried out in the fields of translation and publishing. Overall, the Ministry of Culture awards 8 prizes, divided into 4 major prizes and 4 special prizes.
