Abu Dhabi University presents the 3rd International Conference on Environmental Design, Material Science and Engineering Technologies (EDMSET 2026), organized in collaboration with IEREK and the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi for the Italian Design Day 2026.

Bringing together academics, researchers and professionals from around the world, EDMSET 2026 explores key themes shaping the future of the built environment — from sustainable urban systems and environmental performance to social sustainability, human-centered design, and technological innovation in engineering and architecture.
The programm features keynote sessions, panel discussions and parallel thematic tracks covering topics such as digital transformation, climate-responsive design, urban livability, renewable energy, and heritage conservation.
Within this broader framework, a dedicated segment connects the conference to Italian Design Day 2026, highlighting the role of design in bridging innovation, cultural identity and architectural practice.
The programm also includes a specialized workshop on AI generative design for modern architectural heritage.
