In the wake of the UAE’s COP28 success, the Italian Embassy to U.A.E and the Italian Culture Institute in Abu Dhabi, cultural section of the Italian Embassy, are organizing a seminar focusing on the UAE’s continuous effort to diversify its energy sources and implementation of Nuclear energy.
The initiative is in the framework of the Emirati-Italian Dialogues series of intercultural meetings of our Institute at its diplomatic premise for an action of Cultural and Scientific Diplomacy.
This seminar aims at going in-depth of the regional Nuclear Energy Transition plans in the Middle East. With the help of prestigious local experts, it also puts a particular focus on the UAE peaceful Nuclear Energy policy, presenting its impressive Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant which is expected to provide up to 25% of the UAE’s electricity needs and significantly reduce the nation’s carbon footprint. Furthermore, the seminar will provide an in-depth insight into the Italian technological contribution to the Small Nuclear Reactors sector.
