“The Second After ” – Exhibition unveils the magnificence of Pompeii and Herculaneum, Italy in Abu Dhabi

The exhibition offers the public a reinterpretation of the last moments in the life of Pompeii and Herculaneum following the devastating eruption of Vesuvius (79 A.D.).
Director Ida Zilio-Grandi says: ‘The Second After takes us on a journey that is both cultural discovery and artistic research. This exhibition once again demonstrates our commitment to fostering a connection with the United Arab Emirates in a common recognition of cultural heritage’.
This unique immersive exhibition is curated by Kif Italia in collaboration with renowned personalities from the world of Italian music, art and manufacturing. M° Furio Valitutti composed the soundtrack basing his music on the works ‘De Vitiis’ and ‘De Musica’ by the ancient Greek philosopher Philodemus of Gadara, who chose Herculaneum as his home. The production is entrusted to Federico Baciocchi and Valerio Ronzitti. Renowned Italian artistic perfumers created the exclusive fragrance that accompanies the exhibition.
